Thirty (30) years ago, Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre helped popularize gin and juice in the hip-hop community after the two released the namesake song — Gin & Juice. Today, the two artists have released their canned version of the mixed cocktail, Gin & Juice By Dre and Snoop.

The pair launched the canned alcoholic beverage in celebration of the 30th anniversary of Snoop Dogg’s classic hip-hop debut album “Doggystyle,” produced by Dr. Dre. Gin & Juice is from that album.

Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre launched their new product at Wynn Las Vegas when they hosted a Super Bowl afterparty with a surprise performance.

“Together, we always try to create magic, we’re having fun being creative, and everything about this product is really us,” Dr. Dre said in a release. “There’s passion behind it, and friendship and love and a culture. We’re shooting to make everything we do magnificent, and fortunately, most of the time we hit the target.” “Look where we’re at in our careers,” said Snoop Dogg.

“Look at our age and look at what we’ve done, and we still love each other, so why not do something together? A lot of times people have been in a relationship for thirty years and can’t talk to each other, can’t hang out, so it’s just fun to be in a partnership with people that you actually love.”

Gin & Juice By Dre and Snoop is the first ready-to-drink product from their new premium spirits company.

The canned alcoholic beverage comes in four flavors: Citrus, Melon, Passionfruit, and Apricot. Also, it will be available U.S.-wide by early spring and will be distributed nationally through Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits, the largest beverage distributor in the U.S., according to the release by Gin & Juice By Dre and Snoop.

It said the spirit company will be led by Patrick Halbert, Andrew Gill and Rocco Milano, the founders of On The Rocks Cocktails.

Last year, research found that while Black Americans represent 12% of alcohol consumers across categories, they make up only 7.8% of the sector’s labor force and 2% of executives in the industry. Dr. Dre and Snoop are hoping to make a difference in the spirits sector with Gin & Juice By Dre and Snoop.
