Evelyn Foulkner, a 72-year-old grandmother from Atlanta, fulfilled her bucket list goal of competing in bodybuilding after she began challenging herself in January.

When she decided to compete in the Lawrenceville Super Natural Body Federation Bodybuilding and Fitness competition earlier this month, she began a strict training program at her regular club six months in advance. The program included strengthening her weaker muscles, eating a high-protein diet, and showing commitment.

Foulkner told Fox 5 Atlanta“I decided I needed to take it to another level and challenge myself.”

The go-getter placed third in both the novice and masters divisions, winning two medals in her first bodybuilding competition.

Foulkner’s extraordinary accomplishment has captured the attention of the community, showcasing her commitment and tenacity.

From what her relatives could tell, the grandma was a huge success with the crowds while she was on stage.

People lined up to take pictures with her after the competition, showing how much of an inspiration she is.
