Beyoncé’s sudden plunge into country music has propelled her to new heights as fans demonstrate their overwhelming support. With the release of two new country-inspired singles barely a week ago, the 42-year-old verified the long-held fan idea that the follow-up to 2022’s Renaissance: act I will be a country album.

A lucky break of circumstances saw the famous artist make history just one day after the release of “Texas Hold ‘Em” and “16 Carriages.”

A fan account named Beyoncé Press, dedicated to the “Halo” singer declared, “Beyoncé is the FIRST black female artist to reach the top of the Apple Music US Country Chart in history. She is also the first female black artist to occupy the first and second positions on the chart simultaneously.”

Forbes also reported on Wednesday that Beyoncé has become the first Black woman to top the Apple Music Country Chart.

According to HiphopDX, Beyoncé announced Renaissance: act ii in a multi-layered reveal that began with a new Super Bowl commercial for Verizon.

She launches into space at the end of the commercial, and a fictitious news presenter announces that she will be doing the first live performance from space. “Okay, they’re ready, drop the new music,” she says in the last moments of the commercial.

The unexpected Verizon advertisement had the desired effect of bringing followers to her social media accounts as they searched for more information on how to access Beyoncé’s latest offering. Just hours after the ad debuted, she released a Texas-themed trailer for the upcoming project, which will be released on March 29.

She returned to Instagram thirty minutes after posting the clip to reveal the release of two new singles, writing “TEXAS HOLD ‘EM and 16 CARRIAGES out now.”

Regardless of the disagreement over what genre to label Beyonce’s new singles, HNHH noted that Beyonce was able to swiftly soar up the US Country charts on Apple Music and reach a pretty special milestone.

She achieved a historic first for a black woman, topping Apple Music’s Country Chart with two consecutive number-one and number-two positions for her tracks.
