Latto makes history as first woman to headline Atlanta’s Hot 107.9 Birthday Bash

Soon, Latto will set a record by being the first female to be the main act for Hot 107.9 Atlanta’s Birthday Bash, a summertime concert.

The 25-year-old celebrated becoming the first woman to topline the festival on social media with the caption: “1ST FEMALE TO HEADLINE BIRTHDAY BASH!!! @hot1079atl I’m bringing out hellaaaaaaa special guests.”

In a short clip, she recreated a scene from her most recent music video and headed to the radio station while sporting a “Big Latto Bash” t-shirt. She also revealed that she will be the main attraction at the yearly event on June 22.

Other names confirmed for the Hot 107.9′s 29th birthday celebration include Key Glock, Killer Mike, Boosie Badazz, and Tee Grizzley, with further artists to be revealed at a later time, according to HipHopDX.

Latto will be joined by “friends,” which translates to a large number of notable guests, according to the announcement, though no names were given.

Latto has already made headlines this year because of her viral “Sunday Service” song, per Vibe.

The song, released on February 9 and produced by Go Grizzly, Pooh Beatz, and Bankroll Got It, went viral on the internet owing to its hidden bars and reference-heavy music video.

Even with all of the hype around the song, “Sunday Service” only reached a peak of 100 on the Billboard Hot 100 and did not have much of an influence on the charts, as reported by HipHopDx.
