Monroe, Louisiana

The eighth largest city in Louisiana has a violent crime rate of 22.8 with 1 in 44 people likely to be a victim. Monroe’s violent crime rate increased by 85.5% over the past five years, making it the largest increase of any metro-area in the country, the US Census Bureau Community Survey of 2016 reveals.
