Sawiris’ net worth is $8 billion. Described by Forbes as a scion of Egypt’s wealthiest family, his brother Naguib is also a billionaire.

In 2015, Sawiris split his Orascom Construction Industries into two entities: OCI and Orascom Construction.

Sawiris’ holdings include stakes in cement giant Lafarge Holcim and Adidas on whose supervisory board he sits.

Sawiris is 59 years old.
