April 6

 April 6, 1892 – About 80 White men broke into the jail in Charles City, Virginia, and lynched a Black man named Isaac Brandon on the courthouse lawn.

 April 6, 1909 – Matthew A. Henson reaches the North Pole, 45 minutes before Commandeer Peary.

 April 6, 1931 – Nine Blacks were accused of raping two White women in a boxcar. They were hastily tried and convicted in Scottsboro, Alabama
