Jean Bosco Nzeyimana, Rwanda

The 25-year-old is the founder and CEO of Habona Limited, a company that collects waste and turns them into affordable and environmentally friendly products in the form of briquettes and biogas that people can then use. He started his company in 2004 after realizing that people in his village, Kitabi, did not have access to reliable and clean forms of fuel. Nzeyimana has, so far, employed more than 25 people and is working on expanding to other areas of the country to improve sanitation, as well as, providing alternative fuels that can improve health and mitigate climate change in the country and Africa as a whole.
