Get to know UFC fighter Jon Jones’ Net Worth and Career Highlights

American professional mixed martial artist Jonathan Dwight Jones is the current champion in the Heavyweight Division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

Jon Jones began competing in 2007, and two decades on at age 37, he is one of the world’s most successful UFC competitors and mixed martial artists to grace the sport.

At only 23, Jones had become the youngest champion in UFC history after he beat Mauricio Rua in 2010.

He has the records stacked in his locker but has also racked up millions after partnering with brands through endorsement deals.

Here is a look into Jon Jones’ net worth, his career and endorsement deals that have set him apart from many other fighters.

Jon Jones’ Net Worth and Earnings

Although Jon Jones is edging closer to the end of his career, he has racked up enormous figures in his coffers after he touched fame back in 2011.

Jon Jones’ net worth is reportedly between $15 million and $20 million, similar to that of Francis Ngannou, whose worth is an estimated $15million.

Over the years, Jones secured numerous records in the UFC, which ultimately brought him millions across 14 years of top-level action.

Reports also indicate that Jones could be the second all-time earner in UFC history, only behind Conor McGregor.

Jones has always had a love for flashy cars. Reports indicate that his garage hosts numerous vehicles worth $313,000.

Among the impressive lineups in his garage are a BMW M4, a Dodge Charger SRT, a Tesla Model X, and a Chevrolet Corvette C8.

In Jones career, his pay-per-view bouts have ranged from $350,000 to $860,000, with many of these fights displayed at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada in the U.S.

In endorsement deals, Jones partnered with Nike which had his signature added on his shoe line. He also had a sponsorship deal with Gatorade in the second phase of his career.

Major Career Highlights.

In the early days of Jones’ MMA career, he was a phenomenal wrestler in high school and was also state champion at Union-Endicott in New York.

Jon Jones was also NJCAA Wrestling National champion at Iowa Central Community College and dropped out of Morrisville State College later on to focus on his MMA career.

In 2008, Jones made his MMA debut and run unbeaten in a 6-0 record over a three-month period, beating all opposition that stood in his way.

Between 2008 and 2010, Jon Jones was considered a ‘man on fire’ after his impressive performances against opponents, dominating most of his matches by a TKO.

He became the UFC Light Heavyweight champion after defeating Mauricio Rua, making history as the youngest fighter to win a UFC title.

Since then, he has never looked back.

Jon Jones continued to dominate the UFC until a series of controversies and suspensions began to come forth in 2015.

Between 2015 and 2017, Jones was suspended three times due to reasons such as doping violations and disciplinary action.

In December 2018, he reclaimed the Light Heavyweight title by defeating Alexander Gustafsson and defended his title for many months.

Jon Jones had successfully defended the belt until a dispute with the UFC led him to transition to the heavyweight division.

On March 4 2023, Jones took on Ciryl Gane for the vacant UFC Heavyweight championship and beat his opponent to become champion.

He was scheduled to defend his title from his opponents but failed to do so due to injury as he tore his pectoral tendon.
