Cynthia Erivo is a singer, songwriter, and actress; a combination for which she has gained variable degrees of success.
Erivo was born in London to Nigerian parents and has gone on to act on stage and on screen. She got her big break with the Steve McQueen-directed action drama Widows in 2018.
She has also played African-American slave era abolitionist, Harriet Tubman in 2019 film, Harriet.
