Pictures of a donkey adorned with black and white patterns – similar to that of a zebra have gone viral. Many are speculating that the Egyptian zoo where the picture was taken had painted several donkeys to appear as zebras.

Mahmoud Sarhan, a student, uploaded pictures of the animal on Facebook after going to Cairo’s International Garden municipal park.
Sarhan iterated that two additional animals within the same enclosure were also painted.

Mohammed Sultan, the zoo director was adamant that the animal in the viral image is not a fake.
A vet contacted by Extranews.tv explained that a zebra’s snout is black with consistent and parallel stripes.
Could this be a new breed of Zebra bearing donkey features?
