Professor Stanley Khainga and team
Prof Stanley Khainga and a team of urologists and plastic surgeons in January this year took about 7 hours to give a 16-year-old Kenyan boy another chance in life at the Kenyatta National Hospital after his penis was severed following an attack on him. The life-changing surgery involved repairing two veins, two nerves and one artery. The surgery was applauded globally as this was the first time an operation of this kind had been successfully carried out in the East African country, according to media reports.
