Five amazing ancient sites in Morocco worth knowing

The Kingdom of Morocco carries so much history. The land has been occupied by many empires and dynasties before being known as Morocco of today, which is over 1,200 years old. The North Africa country was once occupied by Christian Berbers, Phoenicians, Romans, Arab Dynasties and Carthaginians, who built their empires when they inhabited the land.

Morocco is known for its rich cultural heritage and maze-like old towns. The country is a haven of ancient and prehistoric sites that are worth visiting when in the northern African country.

Do not get carried away with the amazing riads or exceptionally colorful souks. Here is a list of some of the historical sites in Morocco that you may not have heard of as it may not be as well-known as the ancient towns.
