Hello wonderful readers!
November 21 of every year is observed as World Hello Day. Created by Brian and Michael McCormack and first celebrated in 1973, the basis behind the celebration of this day is rather insightful and deserves to be commended.
As a response to the deadly Yom Kippur War which was fought between Israel and a coalition of Arab countries in 1973, the McCormack brothers came up with the idea of using the day to promote the use of dialogue and communication as the tool for conflict resolution rather than physical aggression.
Being a participant and an advocate for this day is also pretty simple; just greet ten or more people!
To commemorate the day, Face2Face Africa shares with you how to say hello in 23 African languages. Enjoy!
