Vidiol Tsague’s skill has paved the way for him to do amazing things. Tsague, a native of Bamenda, Cameroon, has been building his own planes and drones out of locally sourced materials since he was ten years old. As a child, he was intrigued with planes flying overhead his home.

Before long, he was crafting paper planes. He developed them into more sophisticated versions, testing the prototypes he made using cardboard, metal, plastic, and wood on the streets of his town.

He wrote on X, “I want to study engineering to be able to manufacture a real airplane that can fly long distances with humans aboard,” per Rising Africa.

Even though the fighting in Cameroon’s Anglophone regions caused him to drop out of school in 2017, he continued to follow his interest, using books and online tutorials to rekindle his enthusiasm for engineering and aviation.

His talent has piqued the interest of netizens, who consistently post words of encouragement in his comments. Some government officials have also promised to help him.

Several universities and other organizations that wish to support the prodigy’s continued study also extended invitations to him recently.

Tsague has overcome a history of violence, poverty, lack of resources, formal education, and a blind father who he wishes could see and understand his work. He refused to give up and remains an inspiration to others.

His ambition is to construct a real passenger jet capable of flying great distances that people can board. Moreover, he hopes to develop drones that would be useful for humanitarian endeavors like monitoring environmental problems or delivering medical supplies. He is convinced his inventions can aid in resolving some of the issues facing his region and nation.

He expressed, “I want to show them that nothing is impossible, that they can do anything they want if they work hard and believe in themselves.”
