So what can local South African fans look forward to when Nas hits the stage?

Great stories.

Nas is considered to be a hip-hop storyteller, and his songs often paint vivid pictures of his life experiences. According to a Vibe magazine interview, the artist said he takes his talent seriously and believes in drawing his listeners in with his music.

When I write a story, I just wanna tell you what’s in my head. It can come from real life and then turn into fantasy, stuff just rhyming…I just like to tell stories that have not been told from my perspective.”

Hip-hop enthusiasts may also be treated to sounds from Nas’ upcoming album. Although he has yet to announce a release date, Nas has said that he wants to explore uncharted territory by giving more of himself.

I’m bursting with excitement, but focused more than I’ve been in the past. I’m at a place where there’s so many things that ain’t been said…I’m so excited to tell this story because it’s real…It’s needed.”

Tickets for the show are on sale now at Computicket outlets or online at www.computicket.co.za. Tickets are priced at R1 500 for VIP seats, R750 for Golden Circle, and R440 for general access. For more details, visit www.castlelitesa.co.za
