Gabourey Sidibe
The Senegalese-American actress recently called out a woman on Twitter who assumed her name was fictional. Sidibe is from Mali, the ‘Precious’ actress said in an interview.
Her father named her but is unsure of the meaning of her first name. Her middle name Malingar(ph) translates to “my queen”. She said that is how her father thinks of her, as his queen.
