Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, has revealed that her Malibu bungalow was destroyed by the devastating wildfires sweeping across Los Angeles.
The fires, fueled by the region’s worst windstorms in more than a decade, have claimed at least five lives and destroyed thousands of structures.
According to reports, about 130,000 residents remain under evacuation orders or warnings as authorities deploy K-9 units to search for human remains in the wreckage.
One of the blazes, in the Pacific Palisades area, has consumed many celebrity homes, including those owned by the likes of Paris Hilton, Jeff Bridges, Anthony Hopkins, and Anna Faris.

Tina Knowles took to Instagram to confirm that her oceanfront property was among the losses, just days after she celebrated her 71st birthday there.
“It was my favorite place, my sanctuary, my sacred Happy Place. Now it is gone!!” she wrote in her caption as she shared a video of the serene ocean view from her bungalow.
In her post, Beyoncé’s mom expressed gratitude to first responders, firefighters, and disaster workers for their dedication shown in dealing with the situation.
“God bless all the brave men and women in our fire department who risked their lives in dangerous conditions. We thank you for your dedication and bravery and for saving so many lives,” she wrote.
She also paid tributes to those who had tragically lost their lives and offered her condolences: “I’m so sad for the people who lost the five family members. My deepest prayers are with you.”
Her heartfelt support also went to those who were left without their homes and possessions because of the wildfires.
“To the people who lost their homes and belongings, I can only imagine how it feels to lose properties and everything you own! My heart and deep prayers go out to all of you. I cannot imagine the pain, suffering, and fear that you are enduring.”
“I am praying diligently for our beautiful city of Los Angeles! We are resilient, though, and we will recover. ‘This too shall pass’”, she concluded.
The Malibu property was described as Tina Knowles’ “happy place,” and reportedly placed her closer to Beyoncé and son-in-law Jay-Z until the wildfires came through.
The couple bought a $200 million Malibu mansion in 2023, making it the most expensive property ever sold in California, as per TMZ.
Knowles is among a long list of celebrities affected by the fires.
Eugene Levy, who served as Pacific Palisades’ honorary mayor suffered a loss, and Billy Crystal lost the home he had lived in since 1979.
Actress Anna Faris’ $5 million eco-friendly residence was also destroyed due to the unexpected fires.
