Claude McKay

Claude McKay was a Jamaican writer and poet who was a key figure in the Harlem Renaissance. Born in Sunny Ville, Jamaica, in 1889, McKay was an advocate for social justice and civil rights. His writings explored themes of race, identity, and cultural displacement, and his work had a profound influence on the African American literary and political movements of the early 20th century.
