Algeria exported glass and glassware valued at $44.5 million or at 0.1 percent of the global total, making it fifth in Africa and 66th worldwide. Mediterranean Float Glass in Algeria, a subsidiary of CEVITAl group, is one of the largest industries of flat glass production in Africa. The company exports 70% of its production mainly to Western Europe and to other African countries like Tunisia.
