President Donald Trump has attracted more resentment from the British public after calling the American Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, “nasty” in an interview published by British newspaper The Sun on Saturday ahead of his visit.
Meghan who is on maternity leave after having her first child in May would not meet Trump during his state visit to the United Kingdom. The reporter from The Sun asked Trump if he would be disappointed due to her absence and then informed him of her disapproval of him during the campaign and pledge to move to Canada if he was elected.
“A lot of people are moving here so what can I say. No, I didn’t know that she was nasty,” President Trump said in response.

On Sunday, he quickly tweeted that he never said she was “nasty” and demanded an apology from major news networks that covered the “nasty” comment.
“I never called Meghan Markle “nasty.” Made up by the Fake News Media, and they got caught cold! Will @CNN, @nytimes and others apologize? Doubt it!” he said.
In support of the president, an official Trump 2020 reelection campaign account on Twitter posted the audio of the interview claiming that it proved Trump did not call Meghan Markle “nasty.”
“Fake News CNN is at it again, falsely claiming President Trump called Meghan Markle “nasty.” Here is what he actually said. Listen for yourself!” the Official Trump War Room account said.
Meanwhile, the shared audio clearly has Trump calling her “nasty”.
A lot of White House officials have later justified the audio saying he wasn’t referring to Meghan Markle but her words, Politico reports.
President Trump will arrive in the U.K. on Monday for the three-day state visit which would be met by the famous inflatable Donald Trump baby balloon depicting him as an angry orange baby holding a smartphone.
It was first flown during his visit in 2018 in protest of his racial views, his history of alleged sexual misconduct, and his policies.
