The reign of President Barack Obama was a dream come true for a lot of black people across the globe.
His journey began as a state attorney until he became an Illinois state senator, a U.S. senator and finally a president.
He left an indelible mark on people of colour who continue to aspire for greater heights.
After exiting the White House in 2016, he has been seen vacationing in exotic locations, attending and dancing in a Beyoncé concert, negotiating Netflix deals and more.
In a yet to be released book, “Hope, Never Fear: A Personal Portrait of the Obamas”, award-winning photographer, Callie Shell, has released never-before-seen photos of Barack Obama right from 2004 when she met him while he was running for senator.
The images include an intimate portrait of Barack and Michelle Obama, from their time in their family home in Chicago to becoming the most powerful family on the planet.
