In the last few years, the Antetokounmpo Family has made profitable investments in its sports franchises, including Nashville SC and the Milwaukee Brewers, in a mutual fund with an industry leader, Calamos.
The family is also in partnership with Ready and Nike, and recently launched the Charles Antetokounmpo Family Foundation.
In a coordinated move to create a self-sustainable and evergreen future, the family has established a new business called Ante, Inc., to supervise their overall business activities.
Through an official statement, Giannis and Thanasis Antetokounmpo announced the new venture of their family.
“I have had success on the court, and I continue to work harder every day to get better, but I understand it is important to build success off the court as well,” said Giannis. “Ante, Inc. is just the beginning. My Family is building a business that we can be proud of. I have had the privilege of learning from professionals who understand what it means to build success off the court, and it’s time me and my Family begin to build that.”
As the Antetokounmpo family charts a new path for its future and how they want to impact the world, Ante Inc. will oversee the Family’s brand holdings, organizations for social impact, their global portfolio of businesses, and future opportunities.
“We are extremely grateful for all of the opportunities that we have,” said Thanasis. “All of my brothers continue to work hard both on and off the court, and I feel this is the right moment in our lives to launch Ante Inc.”
The organization will be led by highly experienced Professionals, including Dylan Wondra, President & CEO; Kostas Tsigkourakos, Chief Financial Officer; and George Panou, Chief Marketing Officer.
In 2023, the new company will have a physical presence in the United States and Greece. As the Family continues to grow successfully on the basketball court, they also have the same ambitions to excel off the court.
In 2022, the family established the Charles Antetokounmpo Family Foundation (CAFF), a social impact foundation in honor of their father, Charles Antetokounmpo. The Foundation (CAFF) operates in Nigeria, Greece, and the US, and invests in local nonprofits.
“By uniting individuals and communities to share opportunities, we fuel greatness around the globe. The Charles Antetokounmpo Family Foundation is inspired by the example of our father Charles. He taught us that the opportunities we receive are not just for enriching ourselves. Each of us has a responsibility to help others achieve their dreams,” CAFF Foundation says.
According to the Foundation’s website, its work centers on refugees and immigrants, education, sports, widows, food and shelter, and the youth.
Four members of the family – Thanasis, Giannis, Kostas, and Alex are currently professional basketball players. Thanasis and Giannis play for the Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA, Kostas plays for the Fenerbahçe of the Turkish BSL, while Alex features for the Wisconsin Herd of the NBA G League.
