Meet Yusef Wiley; he is a founder & CEO, personal life coach, trainer, facilitator, cross-facilitator, collaborator, and mentor.

For 22 years, Wiley was serving a term in a California Correctional facility. He was put behind bars for his past gang involvement in South Central LA. Today, he has reinvented himself as an entrepreneur, according to Black News.

Wiley went from prison to entrepreneurship, with the support of his family, friends, and the faith community located in the San Francisco Bay Area. He demonstrated his passion for serving by speaking at all types of venues.

In no time, he started getting requests from all quarters to share his story, particularly at local government meetings, college campus events, and companies in Silicon Valley. He also secured employment in the private school sector as an African-American Studies School Teacher.

However, in 2014, he decided to bring his dream to life by venturing into entrepreneurship, resulting in the founding of the Timelist Group, Inc. Today, it is a successful multi-million dollar operation, Black News said. TimeList Group is a “non-profit organization dedicated to serving families and communities impacted by incarceration, poverty, academic and economic barriers by providing educational programs, self-help, reentry support, housing and youth violence prevention services,” its website says.

Wiley is providing these programs like housing for reentry and unhoused individuals as a way of giving back to his community. Also, he has workforce programs that allow him to hire system-impacted people with a history of felony arrest, according to Black News.

The platform said the Timelist Group now employs over 125 people from its predominately African-American community. Wiley’s other business portfolio includes a Consultant Company, YW Consultants LLC, and a speaking platform called YW Speaks, LLC.
