In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, model and TV personality Blac Chyna shared her excitement about having 50/50 custody of her two children. The 35-year-old, whose real name is Angela White, shares an 11-year-old son with rapper Tyga and a 6-year-old daughter with TV personality Rob Kardashian.
“We have structure. I think structure’s key,” White said in reference to her co-parenting arrangements with the fathers of her two children. “I fought my way through it. It’s done. I’m so excited. You have no idea,” she said about being granted equal custody of her children.
“[It’s working] splendid. I’m in a better place, my kids. Having a structure for me and stability for me, is everything for me. Now everything else is going to trickle down because our foundation is strong.”
White, who is currently dating rapper Derrick Milano, also said she hasn’t allowed their relationship to interfere with the attention she gives to her kids. “Yeah, they definitely know Derrick, but sometimes just being in a relationship, a new relationship with a male, women they tend to cater more to the male, and that’s just never my thing,” she said. “My kids are my kids, they came from me.”
She stressed that spending ample time with her kids is indispensable, adding that she has never requested child support from their fathers. “I just want time with my kids. And by all means, if I’m going to have to go to court and fight for it, that’s just what I’m going to do,” the 35-year-old said. “And I’m really happy. I’m happy, the kids are happy, but most importantly, it’s about the kids.”
White has made noticeable U-turns in her appearance and lifestyle as she has undone some cosmetic procedures on her body. She has also been sober for 16 months. She explained in a previous interview that she decided to make those lifestyle changes because her past appearance did not reflect her inward traits.
“I want to be somebody that they’re proud of,” she said in reference to her children.
Elsewhere in the interview, White touched on having more kids. Milano also told Entertainment Tonight that he “absolutely” wants to be a father and “100 percent” wants to ask for her hand in marriage in the future.
“I think I said something to Dream [her daughter] one time, like, ‘Dream, would you want a little brother or sister?’ And Dream was like, ‘No,'” White recalled before highlighting that her daughter had also previously responded in the affirmative.
“She’ll be like, ‘Well, I would maybe want a little brother, that way he’ll be really nice to me.'”
