Botanical and Zoological Garden of Tsimbazaza

Tsimbazaza is a zoo and botanical garden in the Southern Antananarivo. It allows both children and adults to get acquainted with the flora and fauna of Madagascar. The beauty of this amazing natural attractions attracts hundreds of tourists and locals seeking to enjoy rare animals and exquisite tropical plants.

“Tsimbazaza” was founded in 1925 with the purpose of increasing the Madagascar flora and distribution on the island of new plant species imported from other countries. In 1947, the garden was transferred to the Research Institute, and within a few years, its flora and fauna have increased tenfold. In 1974, the Park was nationalized and its management was entrusted to the government of Madagascar.
