Johann Rupert is the eldest son of the renowned South African businessman, Anton Rupert. He took over the leadership of the two companies, Remgro and Richemont, that his father, Anton, founded eight decades ago. He is the Chairman of Remgro, an investment company with interests in finance, mining, and industrials, and Compagnie Financiere Richemont, a family-spirited Swiss-based luxury goods holding company.
