Kenyan/Ugandan fishing conflict
There is tension brewing between Kenyans and Ugandans over fishing rights on Lake Victoria.
The lake is shared by Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. Tanzania holds 51 percent; Uganda holds 41 percent while Kenya holds six percent.
The population of fish is decreasing while fishermen from the different countries are said to cross borders in order to catch more fish.
Kenyan nationals are being blamed for boat thefts while Kenyan fishermen are claiming to be harassed by Ugandan security, as reported by All Africa.
