Creates unnecessary fear and panic
Jokes that cause panic to scores of people – whether at school, workplace or community usually do more harm than good. In 2009, there was an uproar when a Florida man was arrested after placing 79 envelopes filled with baby powder around his community, scaring people into believing it was an anthrax attack. These envelopes placed in people’s mailboxes and car windshields had the prescription “Beware of anthrax.”
