The Fan is far from your typical action movie. Starring Robert De Niro and Wesley Snipes, the 1996 American sports psychological thriller is based on a novel by Peter Abrahams. The film brought in $18,626,419 in the United States and Canada. The opening weekend brought in $6,271,406 and then dropped down 47.2% the subsequent weekend.
