Left lane driving
African countries with a strong European influence still drive on the left side of the road and use the European metric system on their roadways.
Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique and Swaziland are some of the countries that use this mode of driving their vehicles.
It is believed that the reason for driving on the left side of the road was because British horseback riders used this method to keep their right arm free to greet or use their swords if the need arose.
