Wole Soyinka

Wole Soyinka is a Nigerian poet, author, playwright who was born in Abeokuta in 1954. Known for his works in literature, he became the first African to win a Nobel Prize for Literature in 1986.

Apart from his love for art, he was known for criticizing the military rule in his home country, Nigeria.
