Farm in a box

Known as The Vertical Farm, the farm-in-a-box vertical garden to grow microgreens was developed by Ugandan, Paul Matovu, for users with little space for gardening. Uganda is facing a shortage in arable lands, and when a 29-year-old Matovu returned to the country’s capital, Kampala after his university education, he had challenges in finding space to grow his own food. That compelled him to introduce the “farm in a box”, “a sustainably sourced timber box measuring 90cm wide by 90cm high that can hold up to 200 plants.”
