Don Cornelius
Don Cornelius, best known as the creator and host of the hit television show “Soul Train,” had been dealing with severe health issues for the last 10 to 15 years of his life.
He had been experiencing frequent seizures as a result of complications from brain surgery he underwent in 1982. It has been speculated that the seizures, along with the appearance of symptoms that may have signaled the onset of Alzheimer’s disease or dementia, prompted him to take his own life in February 2012. He was 75 years old.
