Josephine Baker
She is noted as a world-renowned singer, exotic dancer, a French spy and a civil rights activist. From performing in New York City, her achievements eventually took her to Paris, where she instantly became a celebrity, highly sought after due to her distinct dancing style and unique costumes. She would later become a champion of civil rights and participate in the 1963 March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom, where she was allowed to give a speech. Baker was married four times but is mostly identified by historians as bisexual, having had relationships with women. According to Jean-Claude, as early as 1920, when she was 14, she had already had same-sex relationships with other vaudeville performers.
