5. Sandawe
The Sandawe are found in central Tanzania and are over 87,000 years old. In 2013, their total population was about 60,000 and they speak Sandawe click language. They are found close to the Hadza, another ancient African tribe.
They are known to be direct descendants of the first humans and have an ancestor in common with the San tribe.
They are lighter in complexion than the other old tribes because scientists say their genes have a different gene that makes their melanin appear lighter. They have a strong resemblance to the San.
