Alfred Hair

He helped start the Highwaymen, a collective of Floridian artists, all African-American, who painted vibrant landscapes of their home state.
He attended Lincoln Park Academy in Fort Pierce in 1961. From Lincoln Park where he began painting, Hair would later have people working for him by producing and selling his landscape paintings to tourists, homeowners, and businesses. His painting landscape became very lucrative and he made some wealth for himself before passing away in a shooting incident in 1970.
