Be it traditional, constitutional or absolute, African royalty is embodied in our culture. The prestige and respect we attach to our kings, queens and chiefs cannot be overemphasized. Before the missionaries docked on our shores some hundreds of years ago, the traditional system of rulership was the order of the day.
