Wiz Khalifa and his girlfriend Aimee Aguilar welcomed their first child together — a daughter — on July 17, PEOPLE reported. Aguilar took to TikTok on Wednesday to announce the birth of their daughter Kaydence.
“I gave birth exactly a week ago today, so I am a week postpartum,” Aguilar said in the video. Besides revealing what she has since been doing to flatten her tummy, Aguilar also said she is yet to start working out because she “ended up tearing.”
“So, during the labor and I pushed her out, I tore. I have stitches down there, so I think I’m going to wait another week or two before I start doing anything strenuous on my body,” she explained.
Khalifa, 36, now has two children as he already shares a son with his ex-wife Amber Rose. The rapper and Aguilar have reportedly been romantically involved for about five years – though they seemingly keep their relationship away from the public eye.
The Promises rapper and Aguilar announced they were expecting baby Kaydence on Father’s Day. Khalifa in a post on Instagram shared a photo of him holding Aguilar’s baby bump and wrote, “Baby Girl On The Way.”
Khalifa and Aguilar’s bundle of joy comes after the rapper was arrested in Romania on July 14 and charged with drug possession after he allegedly consumed marijuana while performing at a music festival in the European nation, Face2Face Africa reported.
Per DW, the incident occurred at the “Beach, Please!” festival that was held in the popular village of Costinesti. The rapper, born Cameron Jibril Thomaz, was billed to perform as the headliner. Romanian anti-organised crime prosecutors (DIICOT) in a statement said that the See You Again rapper was “found to have possessed more than 18 grams of cannabis and to have consumed (on stage) another quantity in the form of a handmade cigarette.”
Prosecutors at the time also said they were yet to conclude their investigations into the incident. Police reportedly escorted Khalifa out of the festival, and videos of that were circulated on social media.
The rapper later took to X (formerly Twitter) to address the situation, stating that he did not mean to be disrespectful. He also said the officers were “respectful”, adding that he was ultimately released.
“Last nights show was amazing. I didn’t mean any disrespect to the country of Romania by lighting up on stage. They were very respectful and let me go. I’ll be back soon. But without a big ass joint next time,” he shared.
