A snapshot of the video in which Bashirah Tripp drove over a man suspected to be her husband.

A 34-year-old Atlanta woman, Bashirah Tripp, has been arrested for allegedly driving over a man she was quarreling with at the parking lot of a supermarket in what is suspected to be a domestic feud.

According to local news, Tripp has been held in jail without bond. She has been charged with aggravated assault.

The incident was captured on video by a few who were at the scene, excerpts that have now gone viral thanks to social media. But others spoke to the press on what they saw.

Below is a video of the incident. [Viewer’s discretion is advised]:

A woman who refused to be identified told Wavy TV, a Norfolk-based station:

“It was a horrible, horrible thing to see. I’ve never seen anything like that…I heard the vroom of the engine, then the crunches. I couldn’t believe it. I was mortified because I thought a man had been run over. When I saw the woman throw the bumper on top of his body, that wasn’t moving, face down and bleeding profusely, I knew something else was going on. I can’t assume it was an accident. They were arguing. The lady speeds off. She comes back and targets — what I believe to be is her husband — hits him and he falls. He goes up in the air and falls to the ground.”

An attendant at a dentist’s office in the supermarket added that after the incident, she and others hurriedly covered the body of the man who had been hit. The nature of the accident immediately called people to the scene.

The man has been admitted to a hospital where he is said to be in a critical condition.
