April 25

 April 25, 1918 – Ella Fitzgerald, “First Lady of Song” was born.

 April 25, 1944 – The United Negro College Fund was established.

April 25, 1950 – Charles “Chuck” Cooper makes history as the first African American drafted by an NBA team.

April 25, 1959 – A white mob in Mississippi murdered a Black man named Mack Charles Parker, on accusation of raping a White woman.
