Nicki Minaj has successfully halted Marley Green, the gossip blogger behind Nosey Heaux, from peddling rumors about her. In 2022, the blogger, real name Marley Green, accused Minaj of being a “crackhead” and claimed the rapper was using cocaine.
Minaj responded by suing Green, leading to a settlement, according to Daily Mail. As part of the agreement, Green must publicly admit that she lied about the drug allegations and had no evidence to support her claims.
Green is also prohibited from mentioning Minaj or linking her to cocaine in the future. This resolution comes as Minaj recently canceled a performance in Romania due to “safety concerns.”
As part of the settlement, Green is further barred from retweeting or resharing any posts or comments suggesting Minaj is involved in illegal or unethical activities.
If she violates the agreement, she faces a $50,000 penalty per offense. The false claims that led to the lawsuit were originally made in a video Green uploaded to her Nosey Heaux platform, which Minaj found deeply offensive.
“Allegedly. Thank you. Allegedly. But we all know it’s true. F***-listen, I can’t even say allegedly with that ’cause I, we all know it’s true.
“I’m not saying allegedly on that. Nicki Minaj is a cokehead,” Green stated at the time.
In the video that sparked the lawsuit, Green not only made false drug claims about Minaj but also targeted Minaj’s three-year-old son, whom she shares with her husband, Kenneth Petty.
“Your baby is going to be a rapist, too,” she boldly claimed.
Green is also prohibited from ever mentioning Minaj’s son, with each violation resulting in a $50,000 fine.
Earlier this summer, Minaj fueled speculation about her marriage to Petty when she posted the cryptic message “yes single” on X (formerly Twitter). The post left fans wondering whether her relationship was in trouble or if she was teasing a new song.
“So are we getting a new single or are you single,” one fan asked.
Yet another congratulated Minaj on an apparent self-promotion tactic, posting, “Dear rap girlies, this is how you pull a PR stunt. literally two words and she ate.”
