DJ Khaled showed his appreciation for his followers by delivering a pair of the new J. Balvin SP Air Jordan 3s to one of them. The famed DJ had heard about the fan camping outside his Snipes sneaker store in Miami since 4 a.m., and DJ Khaled paid for his $250 “Medelln Sunset” sneaker purchase as a token of his appreciation.
Khaled told the fan who was initially reluctant to take the money for the shoes “I wanna do it,” according to Hiphod DX.
“It’s okay to take a gift. I know you got money. I wanna do it. He been out here since four in the morning; that’s what we do!” he said in a video.
After exchanging hugs, the lucky individual went inside, and Khaled faced the commotion to sign sneakers and pose for photos with the masses of admirers lining Collins Avenue.
“Thank you Khaled that was so real. I appreciate it, I’m gonna support your store forever. I love you, man. Blessing the kids, thank you,” the excited fan expressed as he walked out of Snipes.
HiphopDX reported that the J. Balvin-designed Jordan 3s, which are cream in color and splattered with the hue of a Colombian sunset, sold out almost immediately after going on sale last month. They were $250 at retail, but are now going for well over $400 on the resale markets.
