From Doggystyle to gospel: Snoop Dogg records new album

Praise the Lord! Legendary California born rapper Snoop Dogg is set to release a gospel album, yes you heard me right, a gospel album. Titled Bible of Love, the 32 track album, which is set to be released on March 16 features the likes of Faith Evans, B Slade, Rance Allen, Bereal Family, The Clark Sisters, Tye Tribbett and a host of others.

The multi-platinum recording artiste’s gospel project does not really come as a surprise as he expressed the desire to do something of that sort last year. In Dr Dre’s Beats 1 radio interview, Uncle Snoop said “I’m working on a gospel album,” He added, “It’s always been on my heart. I just never got around to it because I always be doing ‘gangsta’ business or doing this or doing that. I just felt like it’s been on my heart too long. I need to do it now.”

Born Calvin Cordozar Broadus, Jr., Snoop Dogg has sold over 23 million albums in the United States and 35 million albums worldwide. Whilst we wait for the release of the Bible of Love, check out this video and singles he has released off it.
