No funerals on Thursdays

In Madagascar, Thursday is the first day of the week, according to their calendar, and each day of the week is meant for something peculiar.

It is ideal to start a fresh business idea on Thursday or particularly anything you envision that will be around in some years to come like a housing project.

The more reason why it believed that the moment you hold a funeral on Thursday, you are sparking a chain reaction of deaths in your family. To that effect, the Malagasy people do not bury their deceased relative on Thursday.
