James Baldwin

Very few are better with typewriters than James Baldwin. Novels, stage plays, screenplays and non-fiction, he wrote them all with the signature of excellence.

Baldwin was opinionated, and this meant he, as an intellectual had to say things about the condition of black people in the US.

The FBI noticed him and investigated him clandestinely. The idea of the authorities was to discredit him in the public’s eye.
