Her coming to be the first lady of Zimbabwe is a singular story full of intrigue and eyebrow-raising details. While married to another man, Grace began a relationship with her boss Robert Mugabe to whom she was a personal secretary in the late 1980s.
Mugabe’s first wife, Sally, was then battling for her life with a terminal illness.
