Five of the most powerful Black celebrities supporting Nigerian protests against police brutality

Award-winning rapper, fashion designer and polemicist Kanye West on Monday tweeted out his support for his “Nigerian brothers and sisters to end police brutality”. West, who is himself a presidential candidate in the United States, wrote that he expects the Nigerian government to answer its people.

As at the time of going to press, the tweet has been retweeted more than 95,000 times.
