Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather was reportedly confronted by a mob while he went shopping at a jewelry store in central London’s Hatton Garden district.
The 47-year-old former world champion was seen distressed as a large crowd surrounded him and his entourage outside the store.
Since Tuesday, videos of the incident have gone viral and show Mayweather being escorted through the street by his security team while some 30 members of the mob taunted him, as per reports.

“Floyd took a few hits during it, but his security was trying to push people back,” a witness told The Sun.
A source close to Mayweather however claimed the boxer “was not touched” during the confrontation.
The source alleged that the altercation started after Mayweather was asked about his stance on Israel and decided to support the Jewish community.
“Someone took a swing at him because of that,” the source said. “It looked very targeted. I couldn’t really see Floyd trying to throw any punches back. His guards were just trying to get distance between him and them.”
The mob then began to use racial slurs against Mayweather during the attack.
Videos shared on social media linked the incident to Mayweather’s previous comments in support of Israel.
“Floyd Mayweather chased out of Hatton Gardens in London. The public are angry over his comments and support for Israel”, one user posted on X.
Over the last months, Floyd Mayweather has been outspoken in his support for Israel amid its ongoing conflict with Hamas and traveled to Israel to show solidarity with the country.
The boxing legend wrote on social media: “I stand with Israel against the Hamas terrorists. Hamas do not represent the people of Palestine but are a terrorist group that are attacking innocent lives!”
“I stand for all humans and wish for the safe return of all Americans and Israelis and any human that were kidnapped as hostages during these horrific war crimes. This is not a time for politics. This is a time for safety first and foremost. God Bless America. God Bless Israel. God Bless Humankind!”
Mayweather goes down in history as one of the greatest boxers and retired undefeated with a 50-0 record.
He has always been known for his outspoken views on various issues. However, this incident marks a rare moment of direct conflict in his public life.
For now, neither Floyd Mayweather nor his representatives have commented on the altercation.
