Floyd Mayweather is arguably the best boxer in modern history. He has an enviable record in the world, fighting 50 times and winning on all occasions. His fight records have also catapulted him into one of the highest sports earners in the world.

With over $1.2 billion in his total career earnings, he is one of the highest-paid athletes of all time.

During his active boxing days, he made record money for his biggest fights against the likes of Manny Pacquiao and Conor McGregor. He fought Pacquiao in 2015 and McGregor in 2017. Both bouts fetched him more than $500 million.

The boxer has since retired after his bout with McGregor but he recently came out of retirement to box Youtuber-turned-boxer Logan Paul at the Hardrock Stadium in Miami. Reports said he made over $100 million from the exhibition match.

The boxer continues to draw attention, live a plush lifestyle, and make business moves. In 2018, he purchased a luxurious watch, which counts among some of his most expensive purchases. He bought the custom-made watch, made of emerald-cut diamonds to a total of 260 carats, for $18 million.

Also, he recently bought four luxury timepieces for one million dollars besides holding multiple lavish properties and a supercar collection from his multiple businesses.

One of his latest business moves is with Black Spruce Management. As per The Real Deal, Mayweather is investing $402 million into a 1,000-unit affordable housing portfolio with more than 60 buildings in Manhattan, the heart of New York City.

According to the platform, the boxer made the deal with Josh Gotlib of Black Spruce Management. The multifamily deal for properties, concentrated in Upper Manhattan, is one of the city’s biggest this year.

“This purchase holds deep emotional significance for me and my family,” the celebrity athlete said in a statement. Mayweather has previously said he lived “seven deep” in a one-bedroom in New Brunswick, New Jersey, as a child.

“When people see what I have now, they have no idea where I came from and how I didn’t have anything growing up,” he told Mercury News in 2007.

This is not the first time Mayweather has waded into the real estate business. He previously ventured into New York real estate. In a podcast in 2022, he revealed that he has invested in nine skyscrapers alongside office giant SL Green.
